Our Team

Sean Newbold, president of PICS, Inc. (dba Pool Instruments Controls Service) has been in the pool construction industry for over 24 years. He started off working for various contractors on projects such as Grand Hyatt Kauai, Kauai Marriott, Kea Lani Maui, to name a few.

In 1995, venturing on his own to start PICS Inc. Sean started on the island of Kauai building pools and getting accounts with various hotels – first on Kauai then expanding to Maui, Hawaii, and Oahu. He is also the regional representative for PPG Accu Tab systems, Clearwater Tech’s Earthsafe, Mer-Made Filters of SC and Link Automation. PICS is also a distributor of sculptured G-Rock, formerly John Groark’s Outside-Inside Creations.

Today at his office in Puhi, he warehouses pool equipment and various types of stone from around the world, a showroom and employs about 20 employees. With specialization in high end residential and commercial projects, his business today is a one stop shop for all pool, spa and water feature construction. With a bright outlook on the future, he and his company is working hard to strive for a level of excellence in the industry.
